DiGi 4G LTE: Ada suda di Sabah bah! (Advertorial)

On the 28th November I got invited to witness the DiGi Telecommunications (DiGi) launched their 4G LTE services in Kota Kinabalu at Suria Sabah.

Being a Digi user for many years, this got me very excited!  Together with the official launching of DiGi 4G LTE, there was also a 3-day roadshow from Friday to Sunday. All DiGi users who wanted to upgrade their simcard to 4G were able to do so for free during the roadshow. There are many cool stuff during the roadshow. One of it was I got to test the Internet speed! There are also video streaming and gaming demo.

I also got to tried out many phones and ask about other services. I been meaning to upgrade my phone and that day I tried out some of them. The promoter there was very helpful too, introduced me to many packages that Digi offers.

The event started by a simple introductory by the emcee, followed by speeches from Loh Keh Jiat and Datuk Bruno Vun. Its very cool when the DiGi CEO, Lars Norling also joined the launching event via live video call. Goes to show how fast the internet speed were when there are no lagging and buffering time.

I got to know that Sabah is among the highest data users on DiGi network. Mr Loh Ken Jiat said that the introduction of 4G LTE will strengthen this experience with more capacity and faster speeds. Customers will see the difference in faster HD video and music streaming, downloading apps and sharing on social media will almost be instant, and there is a difference when you connect your laptop with your smartphone hotspot. By year-end, DiGi’s 4G LTE coverage in Kota Kinabalu will reach 84%, and will expand to Tawau and Labuan in Sabah, as well as Sarawak The picture above were during the launching ceremony where Y.Bhg Datuk Bruno Vun was seeing putting the Digi simcard on a large phone.

Its done!

I got to meet with my secondary school friend during the launch too. Shery is also a blogger.

Group photo with Mr Glen and other Sabahan blogger! Its great to be able to meet other bloggers and Tom, who personally invited me to this event. Thanks to Mr Glen who was with us and give a bit of a walkthrough about the event and DiGi products. Not forgetting Digi Sabah for inviting us to cover the event. I surely have fun!
